There's nothing here.

I'm going to leave the example art that comes with the theme up. Apparently it's done by a girl named Mae Burke, and it seems hilariously topical right now.

I've blogged for a decade straight somewhere else. But it was a pretty dark place that took a pretty dark tone. This will be a pretty dark place with some lightbulbs now and again.

For now, let's introduce some characters:

(I'll find a name someday)

Starring
Our Hero: One more of a Homeric variety. You'll get to know him.

The Narrator:
Me, of course. I'm a bit less Homeric. In fact, should I need to insert myself in this tale, I'd rather title myself The Cynic rather than The Doglike.

A Precious Gem: A soul all too like our hero. Friend for years, imaginable starcrossed lover. True value is a rare thing. Precious stones are beautiful, extrinsically valuable, and, in this case, conveniently diverse.

Tripp:
A close acquaintance and our hero's roommate.

Dr. Carpenter, or, The Doctor: A former partner and current co-parent. Surely you can see a pattern in who these people have in common by now.

Also Starring

Distractions: Things such as an absurd amount of new music to listen to. Interesting wiki articles. Getting stoned. These are things that prevent the vainglorious dickhead voicing the narrator from effectively telling the story. I think he should be fired, and I can say that because he's not here right now to finish this pseudo-intellectual crap. You'll have to wait.
